get_electric_field(pol)#

Calculates the electric field vector for given polarization.

If the polarization is complex, the electric field is assumed to be along the propagation axis (for performing vector tomography). If the polarization is real, linear polarization is assumed, with the value of the variable being the angle of the polarization in degrees.
